Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains what personal data Flipper Duck collects, why, and what your rights are. Flipper Duck is an independent resale-tools project run by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. For anything in this policy, you can reach us at quack@flipperduck.com.
Who we are
Flipper Duck ("we", "us") provides an AI-powered sourcing tool that helps people find and assess items to resell on Vinted. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.
What we collect
- Account details — such as your email address, when you create an account or contact us.
- Usage data — the searches you run in the app and the results returned, so the service can function and improve.
- Payment information — if you subscribe or buy a product, payments are handled by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details.
- Messaging details — if you opt in to alerts, the phone number you provide so we can send them.
- Technical data — basic information your browser sends, such as device and general location, used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
- To provide the Flipper Duck service and return your search results.
- To send alerts you have asked to receive.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To respond to your messages and support requests.
- To keep the service secure and to improve how it works.
Legal basis
We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), where you have given consent (such as alerts), and where we have a legitimate interest in running and improving the service. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make Flipper Duck work — for example our payment provider, messaging provider and hosting and infrastructure providers — and only as far as needed to deliver the service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own data-protection obligations.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email quack@flipperduck.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Cookies
The app uses only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version.
